Moshka Shtein family used to be big as almost all Jewish families in Kupel. There was Moshka Shtein and his wife Leah, daughters Ida, Manya and Raya, sons Isaak, Solomon and Israel. At the beginning of the war, at June 1941 (WWII) Ida and Manya were already married and moved out of Kupel. Moshka, Leah and Raya were very lucky - they left Kupel, evacuated on time. As Germans advanced, they had to do it (evacuated) twice. Leah and Moshka died while evacuating, it was to tough for them. Raya finally got to Ida's family and lived with them for a while.
